Q: What does my session fee pay for?

A: The session fee pays for my time and talent during the session, post production work, and a studio meeting within two weeks of your shoot to present your images and consult with you regarding prints and ordering.

Grandchildren will cherish the portrait with their grantparents.

Q: Where will my session take place?

A: Sessions may take place in the studio or on location. Location sessions take place at your home or other favorite place.

Q: When is the best time of day to schedule a session?

A: For outdoor portraits, very early morning (starting no later than 9:00 a.m.) and late afternoon/early evening (up to an hour before sunset) provide the most flattering light. Midday sun is harsh and produces hard shadows, although if there is sufficient shade, such as tree cover, we can shoot at any time of the day.

For indoor natural light portraits, early morning to mid-afternoon is best.

Any time is good for studio portraits.

Most importantly, choose a time of day when the youngsters in the family are at their peak and will be well rested and fed beforehand. Better to schedule the session when everyone is at their happiest time of day!

Q: How long will the session last?

A: Plan to allow up to 1 hour for your session, though it can be shorter. It’s critical that you allow enough time for your child to relax and move beyond the grin-on-command phase.

Q: When is the best time to schedule newborn photographs?

A: It is best to photograph newborn babies before they are 10 days old. You will want to book your newborn

session before the baby is born. I love to capture their newness and their unique bond with you at this time.

Little ones change quickly over the course of their first year, so consider having portraits again at 6 months during the rolly-polly stage and again at 1 year as their true features and big personality really emerge.

Q: Can you retouch boo boos, scars and wrinkles?

A: Yes, and my clients love this extra service!

Q: When will my photos be ready?

A: Your images will be available for viewing within one week. Final print orders will be ready within 2-3 weeks after your selection depending on the type and size that you order.

Q: Do you archive session image files?

A: I archive your purchased images for one year. Images that are not ordered are purged from the system twice monthly, in order to make room for new clients.
