Pets Are Kids Too
Pets are kids too. I love to take photos of my puppy!
I am a new dog owner. Shiloh is a 10 month old Standard Poodle, my constant companion, and a not always willing photo model. My goal is to have her be as comfortable in front of the camera as I am behind it, but we have LOTS of training ahead of us. Meantime, I work with her on her terms. That’s really what photographing pets and kids is…working within their terms.
Shiloh loves a local lake trail, especially on the mornings when no one else is around and I can let her run. This particular morning, the leaves were well past their color but still on the trees and this stretch of the path reminded me of the coming year—a clear path but I could not see the end. I clicked away and took quite a few shots of her running and playing. But this was my favorite.
